• Short Description

    The EVA model developed by Lohse at Dresden Technical University constitutes an alternative approach to the first three stages of the classical traffic planning model (Lohse 1997).

    In the EVA model and Standard 4-step model, productions and attractions are calculated similarly, namely based on demographic (number of inhabitants) and structural (jobs, size of retail sales floor…) parameters as well as on mobility rates (taken from statistical surveys on traffic behavior). It is performed separately for each demand stratum, which means for each activity pair and its major person groups.

    This course provides experienced users a deeper insight into demand modelling. It is aimed at users who already have basic knowledge of demand modelling and who want to extend it to the passenger-based model model EVA.

    This one day course will introduce you to the principles of the demand model EVA, it’s data structure and model architecture. The subjects of model segmentation, data supply, calibration and validation will be discussed and practiced on a EVA training model.

    As a supplement, we offer a one day course Demand model Visem (TR-T0116) and Demand model Freight modelling (TR-T0119).
