Understanding dynamic transport models and their relationship with Optima applications
The course is intended to give modellers a deep understanding of the relationships between dynamic transport models and PTV Optima applications. This will include build up, calibrate and update these models, with respect to real world and real-time applications. Furthermore, it will show how to interpret traffic phenomena via traffic data analysis and simulations. A wide range of tools available for all these activities will be presented and used through all the duration of the course, with specific attendtion to the practice.
The course addresses transport modellers aiming to set up and maintain transport models for PTV Optima systems. The course gives solid bases to work on PTV Optima models both in the offline and online phases of the process.
Proficiency in Visum is expected. Basic skills of data analysis with MS-Excel on MS-Windows OS are required.Practical experience or professional backhround on transport planning or traffic engineering is recommended.
4 Days. Courses usually start Monday afternoon and end Friday morning (3 Days + 2 half days).
