PTV Visum 2020 Release Highlights
Next-generation traffic models at focus of our traffic software
-
-
PTV Visum 2020 succeeds the previous version PTV Visum 18. This latest release pays special attention to modelling electric, autonomous and ride-sharing vehicles. With powerful new simulation tools, cities are now able to analyse, plan and predict the use of those new methods of transport. Another new feature allows users to consider individual personal movements (ABM). As usual, we’ve also made things simpler, with speedup of some actions and simplifying of others.
You can check out the "What's New” document to learn more about all new features.

Support for transition to electric busses
-
New features help planners optimize the use of electric busses in public transport networks.
- PTV Visum 2020 supports planners through powerful extensions of the vehicle scheduling functionality.
- Make confident decisions about vehicle types, fleet size, bus routing and location of charging stations.
Enhanced usability and handling
-
- New algorithms accelerate these key procedures drastically. Speedup-factors by 10(!) or beyond can be achieved.
-
Estimate dynamic demand matrices from e-ticketing data
-
-
- Extend the matrix estimation procedure to e-ticketing and passenger count systems and use it to estimate and adjust dynamic demand matrices.
