PTV Group Earns ISO 27001 Certification for Information Security
- TÜV SÜD audit confirms robust security management practices
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification underscores PTV’s global commitment to cybersecurity
- Strong focus on safeguarding customer data and digital resilience
Karlsruhe 10 July 2025. PTV Group, part of the international brand Umovity, has successfully certified its Information Security Management System (ISMS), covering development and operations, according to the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard. The certification reflects the company’s ongoing dedication to meeting the highest international standards in cybersecurity and data protection.
ISO/IEC 27001 is the leading global standard for information security management. It outlines strict requirements for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving an organization’s security framework—helping reduce risks such as data breaches, cyberattacks, and service disruptions.
As part of the certification process, PTV underwent a comprehensive audit conducted by TÜV SÜD. All relevant information assets and processes were reviewed—ranging from customer data and internal operations to the development, operation, and maintenance of PTV’s software solutions. The certification confirms that the company has effective controls in place to protect data and that it systematically identifies, assesses, and mitigates security risks on a continuous basis.
“As a global software company, cybersecurity and data privacy are non-negotiable,” said Christian U. Haas, CEO of PTV Group. “We are committed to protecting not only our customers and partners, but also our employees. Achieving ISO 27001 certification is a key milestone for us. It demonstrates that we meet the high demands of today’s digital world and stands as a clear signal of our quality and professionalism.”
The TÜV SÜD audit included a thorough review of documentation as well as an on-site assessment of the implemented security processes and measures. The scope of the certification includes PTV GmbH (Karlsruhe) and PTV SISTeMA (Rome).
