PTV Group Selected to Explore Next-Generation Digital Twin Solutions in China

Karlsruhe / Hangzhou 18 December 2025. PTV Group, part of the international brand Umovity, has entered into a collaboration with leading Chinese organizations supporting transportation infrastructure development in Zhejiang Province to explore next-generation digital twin solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects. The partnership was formally launched with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by representatives of PTV Group, Zhejiang Communications Investment Group Research Global Co., Ltd. (Fundamental Research Laboratory of Transportation Metaverse), and the Zhejiang Zhongnan Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Center.
The collaboration brings together PTV Group’s internationally recognized expertise in transportation simulation and modeling with Zhejiang’s advanced digital and metaverse technologies. The joint effort aims to address complex engineering challenges while supporting the long-term development of intelligent and future-ready transportation systems.
Initially, the initiative will focus on large-scale infrastructure projects. By integrating advanced virtual metaverse and scenario simulation technologies from the Fundamental Research Laboratory of Transportation Metaverse with PTV Group’s proven simulation software, the partners seek to develop innovative solutions for complex tunnel scenarios that can be scaled and applied across future large infrastructure projects.
