From Data Silos to Confident Decisions in Public Transport Planning
Whether for long-term strategies or daily operations, you need data to make confident decisions in public transport. But data silos are not the answer. Imagine if you could bring all your data together, verify its accuracy, and use it for analysis and forecasting.
At the upcoming IT-TRANS, PTV Group will be showcasing technology, that enables stakeholders to gain reliable data, meaningful insights, and powerful demand & capacity forecasts for future-proof planning. All information is fully connected, never locked in silos.
To find out more, visit us at #F4, hall 1 where we highlight our software solutions for public transport planning, operation and optimization, as well as sustainability and demand. So, whether you are planning public transit services, building a network for new and connected services, reducing emissions, or protecting commuters in times of pandemic - PTV got you covered.

Breaking Down Data Silos: Insights from the PT Provider of Stuttgart
Daily expert presentation at the PTV booth at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
March 4, 2026: Dr. Xiaojun Li from the Stuttgart Public Transport Authority VVS will accompany the expert presentation.
A current project with the Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund Stuttgart (VVS) impressively demonstrates the advantages of a networked database. The VVS has commissioned the PTV Group and PTV Transport Consult, the consulting company within the PTV Group, to develop a robust database structure: It brings together historical and current survey data, analyzes passenger numbers, and reliably forecasts future demand and revenues.
Delivering projects! Enhancing Public Transport and Micromobility Project Manage- ment with Cloud-Based Modeling and Transparent Engagement
Adam Lynch | March 5, 2026, 12:30pm | Location: Kongress Area A - hall 1
Cloud-based modeling frameworks and interactive dashboards are transforming how public transport providers, micromobility operators, and agencies manage projects by enabling timely, cost-effective delivery while fostering transparency and trust with stakeholders.
Transparent, accessible engagement with stakeholders is critical to maintaining project momentum. Aligning regional, municipal, and operator stakeholders early builds support and reduces challenges that can delay implementation. Adam will introduce an integrated approach that improves quality control, demonstrates responsiveness, and builds public trust while aligning projects with community goals. By embedding transparency, early alignment, and feedback loops into project lifecycles, cloud-based tools help transit providers and agencies deliver projects on time, on budget, and reflective of accessibility goals.
Enhancing PT with real-time data and AI: the UPPER project
Daniele Tiddi | March 4, 2026, 1:30pm | Location: Kongress Area B - hall 2
Developed for the EU project UPPER, U-SIM.live is a simulation-based operational tool designed for real-time decision-making, during daily PT operations tasks of the operation control center (OCC). The tool focuses on the principle of human-centricity. To do so, it leverages passenger count data and multimodal mobility simulation. Its goal is ensuring a human-centric and efficient PT ecosystem.
IT-TRANS comes during the project final year, and Daniele will present how the test cases from cities and operators in Rome, Valencia, Budapest, and Lisbon, will be experimenting the effectiveness of the tool.
